McDonough's Nathariya Phimsoutham shot an 18 hole score of 74 to win the area golf tournament at Heron Bay Golf Club in Locust Grove and repeat as area low medalist for the second consecutive year. She will advance to the state tournament on May 22-23 at Braelinn Golf Club in Peachtree City for a chance to compete for a state championship.
